About us......

Myself and Rachel have known nothing other than a life with dogs. Some of our earliest memories involve the family dogs and now between us, have over 50 years of dog ownership!

It was not until Rachel's 15th birthday that our first whippet entered our lives in the form of a brindle boy called Tizer. He lived a happy life into his late teens, sadly passing away in 2008. We are now lucky enough to be owned by 6 beautiful whippets.

Rachel also spent several years working with dogs at "Guide Dogs". We have been keen to use this knowledge and experience. We have clear opinions and programmes in relation to feeding and training and are proud of the fit, healthy and happy dogs that we have living as part of our family today.

I competed on a regular basis with horses as a youngster and first set foot into the world of dog shows in the mid 90's.

We are currently campaigning Stormburst Sparkling Water at Citycroft (1CC 2RCC), Stormburst Winter Sparkles for Citycroft JW and Yialousa Fiorello of Citycroft. All of them are making us proud and above all are wonderful family pets. They all love the show ring, but equally they love to run and cuddle on the sofa with the other 3 whippets who stay at home on show days.

My son Conor, is a budding Junior handler and although only 4, he already has a wonderful bond and rapport with all of the whippets.

We are delighted with the litter of Citycroft puppies born in April 2008. Hopefully a couple of the pups will be seen in the ring this Winter. Above all they are happy, healthy pups with fantastic temperaments and are much loved family pets. We couldn't have asked for any more.

You may be wondering, why Citycroft? Along with our life long passion for dogs, we as a family are ardent Manchester City supporters. If at a weekend we are not a show you can normally find us supporting the Blues. Therefore Citycroft seemed perfect to reflect our 2 great loves as a family; our whippets and MCFC.

I am now judging Whippets at Open Show level.

We do hope that you enjoy reading about our dogs and their achievements and check back on a regular basis to catch up on our news.

And finally we would like to wish all of our friends the very best of luck in the ring this year.
